Biography

I was born in 1969 in Michigan City, IN.
Why? Why Not?
Moved to Chicago when I was Three years old.
All the crazy Kid stuff happened (broken arm, almost lost an eye).
In First grade I won an award for “ART” that I received in front of the whole school.
The Light went On.
From that day forward, I’ve been an artist.
More crazy Kid stuff happened (bad influences, bad hair, high school in the 80’s).
Decided to try Community College, but wound up blowing it off to become a Rock Star.
Started a band. Mr. Yuk!
Played all over Chicago. Had Possibilities.
Too many Egos. Ka Boom! Band Over.
Decided to go to Art School (American Academy of Art-Chicago,IL)
Took school Seriously for the First time in Years.
Met some Good teachers (some bad ones too), and Good people (some lazy ones too).
Went to the Art Institute (an Artist’s Dream House) many, many, many times.
Learned more from that place than any school could teach.
With teachers like Picasso, Dali, Monet, Albright, etc...how could you lose?
Started painting Seriously around 1993 and haven’t stopped.
Styles Changed. Techniques Changed. Much Experimenting.
Started winning some Awards and Juried shows.
Got married. Lived in New Orleans for a Spell.
Somewhere around 1999, “My Style” was officially born.
Since then, I’ve been improving on “My Style” and it Never stops getting Better.
It Never gets Boring.
It Never feels like Work.
And hopefully it’ll keep Me alive as long as it did Picasso.
