About The ArtistArtist's StatementMy paintings are the visual equivalent to the brain’s intake of too many thoughts at once, the overpopulation of everywhere and everything, and the texture of life and all of its organisms past and present. My paintings are rarely predetermined and evolve from the first layer of colors and textures to hit the painting surface. It is here that I find the paintings content through pure mental spontaneity (The people, the faces, the creatures, etc.). My job then is to bring them to life using layers and layers of detail until the painting is finished. The titles usually come to me sometime during the painting process while I’m looking at the painting. The titles are usually not simple because the paintings are not simple, therefore some titles get quite long. The titles also give the viewer a starting point when first seeing my paintings. What it all boils down to is: I’d like people to enjoy my paintings as much
as I do. ‘Nuff said!'
